Dear Mr. Tkach,

I am the twelve-year-old daughter of Jules Dervaes, Jr. and I had sat in the car holding the banners for 3 1/2 years.

I heard that you were sick and my dad thought it might be a good idea to write to you and wish you well.

My dad also thought I should write to you and maybe you can think about what I write: My dad said it was God’s plan for him to get disfellowshipped from the Church. God wanted Mr. Dervaes to try to make another living.

In the ten years that I have lived here, I have learned a lot. Some things that happen are God’s plans. God works out a plan for someone to do something to make something happen.

It was God’s plan for Joseph to get sold into Egypt. Sometimes with God’s plan it may seem hard at first; then, later, everything falls into order. For Joseph it was hard at first to get separated from his father and then get thrown into prison, but he was patient; and God had Pharaoh make him rule and have his family move into Egypt.

I hope you understand this better and I wish you were feeling better. I will be praying for you. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Yours sincerely,

JMD
